Simple Volume Q&A
Everything you might wonder about getting the most from Simple Volume.
Why does the volume land slightly off the number I chose?
iPhone hardware moves through volume in its own steps, so the level you hear can round slightly from the exact value you pick — for example, choosing 42.5% may play at the nearest step your device supports. Simple Volume keeps showing the value you chose while you adjust, and stays in sync if the volume changes elsewhere.
How do I change the volume control style?
Tap the gear button in the top-right corner to open Settings, then choose Slider, Enter Value or Scroll Wheel under Volume Control Style.
How do I add or remove presets?
- Set the volume to the level you want to save.
- Open Settings and tap Save Current Volume as Preset.
- Give it a name and tap Save.
To remove a preset, swipe left on it in the Presets list in Settings and tap Delete.
How do I use Simple Volume with Siri or Shortcuts?
Simple Volume’s actions — Set Volume, Adjust Volume, Toggle Mute and Set Volume Preset — appear automatically in the Shortcuts app. You can also ask Siri things like:
- “Set the volume in Simple Volume”
- “Mute Simple Volume”
- “Set Simple Volume to Night”
You’ll also find a link to Shortcuts at the bottom of Simple Volume’s Settings.
How do I turn off haptic feedback?
Open Settings in Simple Volume and switch off Haptic Feedback.
Which iPhones and iOS versions are supported?
Simple Volume runs on iPhone with iOS 26.5 or later.
Does Simple Volume collect any of my data?
No. Your settings and presets stay on your iPhone, and the app collects no personal information. Read the full privacy policy.
